Week 8- Weekly Update

I can't believe this will be our last weekly update!  We will just post as items come up over the next couple of weeks so check the blog occasionally as we head into tech week and shows. We are just 2 rehearsals away from starting tech! Please plan on being at both rehearsals. Mr. Mick will be there again on Saturday to work the fight one last time with the actors. We need everyone in the fight to be there. Sunday we will finish up work the last few pages and run the fight and bows. This will be the last time we run the bows before tech.

Costumes
Please send costume pictures to Kristie McMurray by this Wednesday, 10/28. Kristie.mcm@icloud.com All costumes need to approved by Kristie. Bring all costume pieces to every night of tech and shows. Please label all costume pieces and bring a basket (laundry baskets work well) to keep all your belongs in. 

Tickets
Keep selling tickets! Every family is required to sell/buy 12 tickets and will receive 4 comps once your ticket requirement has been met by Monday 11/2. Tickets for The Outsiders will be $10 each and $12 at the door. There is reserved front row for $20 each. Front row for closing night is already sold out. You can purchase your tickets online or contact Andreea Hamilton andreea.hamilton@gmail.com. Andreea will be handing out tickets that you purchased this weekend. 

 Volunteers
We need more volunteers for every show! Every family is required to sign up for at least two volunteer spots per the Parent's Letter of Understanding that each family signed. http://www.signupgenius.com/go/5080a4da5ae2ea64-outsiders

Set Build
Our set build is Sunday, 11/1 from 1pm to 6pm at PCT. (The actors will have rehearsal during this time.) At least one parent from every family is required to be there in order to receive your $20 scholarship for a future show at NTPA. The pieces we are building will be too large to be built at the scene shop, so the build will occur on the main stage, however much of the wood and material is located at the scene shop, so we will need some trucks to move the items to our build before 1pm. Please let Steve McMurray know if you are available with a truck to help. As always, we will need parents with power tools and paint brushes at 1pm on Sunday.

Tech
Everyone is required to be at every night of tech. If your double is on stage you need to be in the audience watching. Tech is 5:30pm-9:30pm. Everyone must be ready to go, in costume, hair and, if any, makeup by 5:30. If you are going to be mic'd at the top of the show you must arrive by 5:15 to be mic'd. We plan to start running the show at 5:30pm.

Cast Party
We will having the cast party between shows on Saturday, Nov. 11/14. Shannon Young will be collecting $5 per person for pizza and cake (you can also give the money to Lisa or Danielle). Please sign up to bring for sides, drinks and/or paper goods.

Bows are there but due to copyright issues YouTube muted the videos. I am trying to get them uploaded to another site but not having luck so far. I'll post as soon as I have a link. The bow song is Could Have Been Be Me by the Struts.

Applause Ads
If you would like to include a applause ad it's $10 for a few lines of text and $25 to add picture with text. Please let Julie know ASAP if you would like to include an applause ad.

Week 6- Weekly Update

 Performance Schedule
The Performance schedule is now finalized. There were no changes to the tentative schedule. You can find the schedule on the right hand side tab (on the computer) or in the drop down (on the mobile version). 

Tickets
Tickets are available online. Tickets for The Outsiders will be $10 each and $12 at the door. There is reserved front row for $20 each. You can purchase your tickets online or contact Andreea Hamilton andreea.hamilton@gmail.com. Every family is required to sell/buy 12 tickets and will receive 4 comps once your ticket requirement has been met.

Off Book
Our first off-book rehearsal is tomorrow 10/17. Off-book means that the actors must know their lines and blocking. Please come to rehearsal prepared. Keep working on bows as well. The bow song is Could Have Been Be Me by the Struts.

Rehearsal 
Actors need to bring a pencil to every rehearsal to write down their blocking notes. Most of the time we won’t go back over the pages we cover each week for several weeks. When we go over the pages again they should already know their blocking. It is very important that your actors attend rehearsals, and if they have a conflict please let Lisa know.  Your actor is really going to have to rely on their doubles to catch up when a rehearsal is missed. Also, remember to bring water/snack and to wear comfortable shoes (no open toed shoes, flip flops or crocs).

Week 5- Weekly Update

 T-Shirts
T-Shirt order forms and money is due Monday, Oct 12th. You can turn in your t-shirt order forms to Lisa Ocoha, Danielle or Lisa. T-shirts are $15 each and we would like to collect cash or checks payable to Lisa so that the money can right to our t-shirt vendor. Tentative Show Schedule!

Here is the tentative show schedule. Please look it over, if we have missed any conflicts please let us know by Sunday, Oct 11th.
